MONTREAL — Quebec’s Court of Appeal has agreed to hear arguments from the Crown, which is contesting the release on bail of Guy Turcotte.

The Crown asked Quebec’s highest court to review a decision to grant bail to a former doctor facing murder charges in the killing of his two children.

Guy Turcotte was given bail while awaiting a new trial on two counts of first-degree murder.

That trial is scheduled to take place in September 2015.
