As of 9 am Monday morning, Groat Road will be the subject of a major closure for almost a month. The City is planning to reduce northbound traffic to a single lane for EPCOR to do some repair work to a transmission line.

The City knows it will be a pain for motorists, especially during the morning and afternoon commutes.
“We’re asking motorists to be patient, perhaps leave a little earlier, and take alternate routes,” said Brad Vanderhoek with the City’s Transportation Services.
The closure is set to last until october 26th, but the city says epcor hopes to be done the work sooner.
