TORONTO – Fred Eisenberger has been elected the new mayor of Hamilton.
Global News declared him the winner with 40 per cent of the vote, beating fellow frontrunners Brad Clark, who had 30 per cent, and Brian Mchattie, with 20 per cent.

Twelve candidates were vying to replace outgoing mayor Bob Bratina, who did not to seek re-election.
This is the second time Eisenberger will serve as the city’s chief magistrate: His first term as mayor from 2006-2010.
Elsewhere in the region, John Tory beat out candidates Doug Ford and Olivia in Toronto, while Linda Jeffrey won in Brampton and Bonnie Crombie was elected as mayor in Mississauga.
