REGINA – The Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) has laid 10 charges against two people in separate weapon seizures at the border.
On October 19th, CBSA officers at the North Portal entrance examined a pickup truck and seized a fully loaded .40 calibre firearm concealed inside.

Loyce Carlton Means Jr. of Pearland, Texas was arrested and released on the condition that he show up for his first court appearance in Estevan on December 15th.
In the other incident, on October 27th the CBSA searched a pickup truck and seized a concealed 9mm handgun.

Ronald Kelvin Chaver’s of Monticello, Mississippi was arrested and released on the condition he appear in Regina provincial court on November 27th.
So far in 2014, the CBSA have seized 31 undeclared firearms at the North portal border crossing.
