Watch: Police officer not charged in St. Hubert speeding death
MONTREAL — A Quebec provincial police officer who was involved in a car crash in St. Hubert that killed a five-year-old boy will not face charges.
The officer was in an unmarked cruiser driving 120km/h in a 50km/h zone when the crash happened last February.

The little boy was strapped into a car seat in the back of his father’s car during the accident.
The impact of the collision was so strong it knocked the family’s car across the street and into a stop sign.

The boy was taken to the Montreal Children’s hospital in critical condition and died five days later.
Late Wednesday afternoon, the Crown prosecutor’s office announced that it will meet with the boy’s parents to explain why the officer is not being charged.
