WATCH: Lupul tries to explain how he ‘kind of’ has a girlfriend

TORONTO – Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul took part in an awkward exchange recently after being asked by a young fan whether he had a girlfriend.

“Ahh, that’s an interesting one. Um… no, but kind of. I don’t even know how to explain it. Wow, this is going to make for some good TV,” Lupul told the young interviewer.

The interview was done by Leafs a fan at Toronto’s SickKids Hospital on Thursday. The interviewer, Josh, followed up his first question by letting Lupul know that his mom, sister and girlfriend all find him attractive.

“And girlfriend? Sorry about that,” Lupul said. “But ok, wow, you took an interesting line of questioning. I thought you were going to say something about hockey but this is cool, this is more interesting.”
