SPALLUMCHEEN – The North Okanagan’s Caravan Farm Theatre is known for staging outdoor productions on an eighty acre farm. It’s a unique environment, as audience members ride in horse drawn wagons or sleighs from scene to scene.

The organization is debuting The Contest of the Winds this week. It’s an original production based on a local first nations legend.

“Anytime that we use the language of theater to tell an oral tradition I think we are opening up to bigger audiences,” says actress Renea Morriseau.

The production runs until January 4.
