 Zubair SheikhNew Democratic Party (NDP)- Zubair Sheikh was born in Pakistan and immigrated to Canada in 1999. Sheikh went to university in Pakistan to become a structural engineer and now owns a small business. Although he is new to politics, he wants to give back to the province that offered him so many opportunities. 

Zubair speaks four languages, and is a proud father.

Saskatchewan Liberal Party-  Brenda McKnight was born in Regina and moved to Saskatoon at a young age. She has volunteered in school and community projects over her residency in the city. 

In her free time she sings, writes songs and plays a variety of instruments. Brenda is a mother of two and continues to care part-time for her autistic son.  

   Don MorganSaskatchewan Party- (Incumbent) Don Morgan was born and raised in Saskatoon. He graduated from the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan, in 1978 and practiced law in the city. Between 1988 and 1992 he was Chairman and CEO of the Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission. He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1990.  

Morgan has volunteered for numerous organizations including: Junior Achievement, the Food Bank, Alzheimer’s, the Red Cross and the United Way. He has been active with the Retinitis Pigmentosa Research Foundation and, was the founding president of the National Ride for Sight campaign.

Morgan was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2003 and re-elected in the 2007 provincial election. He served as Justice Critic, Deputy Critic for First Nations and Métis Relations, Opposition Deputy House Leader, and sat on the Private Members’ Bills Committee. 

He also served as the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, the Minister of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, and the Minister Responsible for the Worker’s Compensation Board, Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board, Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan, Office of Residential Tenancies, Provincial Mediation Board, Public and Private Rights Board, Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission, Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission, Automobile Injury Appeal Commission, Labour Relations Board, Minimum Wage Board, and Workers’ Advocate. 

Don and his wife, Sandy, are long-time residents in the Saskatoon Southeast area.
