Winter storm and snowfall warnings still in effect for much of N.B.

FREDERICTON – Snow fall and winter storm warnings are still in effect for most of northern and central New Brunswick.

Many throughout the province woke up to 15 to 20 cm that fell overnight.

Another 15 to 25 cm is expected to fall on the Acadian Peninsula, Bathurst and Campbellton areas. Fredericton can expect another 5 to 10 cm.

The storm has closed many schools across the province including: Anglophone School District North, Anglophone School District West, Francophone School District North-East, Francophone School District South schools in Fredericton and Oromocto.

Department of Transportation is reporting parts of the Trans-Canada highway as snow covered with fair visibility.
