Two dozen charged over holidays as police crackdown on impaired driving

REGINA – For two dozen drivers, hangovers were the least of the problems during the winter holidays.

Between December 20, 2014 and January 4, 2015, Regina police charged 24 people with either impaired operation of a vehicle, exceed .08, or refusal to provide a breath sample.

Each of those charges resulted in a licence suspension (three days or more). One other driver was given a suspension but not charged with any of the aforementioned charges.

There were also 14 Report Impaired Drivers (RID) warning letters sent out.
