The earth moved in the Okanagan this morning as an earthquake shook people in their beds from Washington state right up to Kelowna.
The quake struck just after 5 a.m. south of the Canadian-U-S border near Riverside, Washington, and the U-S Geological Survey reports it had a magnitude of 4.6.

The Canadian Earthquake Centre says the quake measured 4.3 at its monitoring station in Penticton.
There are no reports of damage.
