Habitat for Humanity homeowners receive keys to new Saskatoon home

Watch above: Two Saskatoon families will be receiving the keys to their new homes on Avenue J from Habitat for Humanity. Joelle Tomlinson was live meeting one of the families at the Avenue J Duplex this morning.

SASKATOON – Habitat for Humanity is holding a dedication ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate as two families take possession of their new homes. The Avenue J duplex was built from ground-up, and the new home-owners had to contribute 500 hours of work during the building process.

The two families receiving their keys are both low-income households and will have the opportunity to tell their stories at 2 p.m. Dignitaries in attendance will include MLA Corey Tochor, Saskatoon Mayor Don Atchison and Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon CEO Barb Cox-Lloyd.
