MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Police have charged a 21-year-old man with arson following an early morning house fire in the south end of Moose Jaw.
Police, fire, and EMS crews were called out around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 300-block of Coteau Street West.

They arrived to find the second floor of the home engulfed in flames. Firefighters eventually put out the fire, which is estimated to have caused $70,000 in damage.

One person was sent to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation but was released later in the morning.
Andrew Suidak, a resident of the home, has been charged and remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday.
