CALGARY – Former Calgary alderman Joe Ceci is taking a run at provincial politics.
Ceci announced on Wednesday he would seek nomination for the NDP in the electoral district of Calgary-Fort.
“Although I am new to provincial politics, I am not new to the citizens of Calgary-Fort,” said Ceci.
Ceci served as the alderman for Ward 9 for 15 years, beginning in 1995.

“It was actually the Klein-era cuts in 1993-94 that first politicized me, and sent me on the road to city council,” he added. “Today, the Prentice PCs have pulled me back into the game again.”
