LAC LA BICHE, Alta. – A foster care supervisor who works for the Alberta government has been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s Internet Child Exploitation unit say it received information from the FBI in Connecticut about the possible distribution of child pornography over the Internet from a residence in Lac La Biche, Alta.

On Dec. 1, members of the ICE unit and RCMP executed a search warrant at the residence and seized computer equipment and electronic storage devices.
They also went to a workplace and seized items.

Daniel Quiring Stoesz, 62, is being held in custody until his next court appearance in Lac La Biche on Dec. 5.
ALERT says Stoesz is employed by the Government of Alberta Ministry of Human Services and is a foster care supervisor in the Lac La Biche area.
