The storied business at Bathurst and Bloor streets started distributing the birds at 10 a.m. today.

The annual giveaway began 24 years ago under the store’s late owner, the Toronto theatre giant Ed Mirvish.

The store’s general manager, Russell Lazar, says the event is part of Mirvish’s legacy. (CFRB)
