Officials determined the cars normally carry grain, but had already been emptied and posed no threat to the public.

“It was just machinery that was involved, there was no public property that was damaged, there was no disruption to traffic and no one was hurt, including, thankfully, the two CP rail employees,” Code said.

The site was closed to the public overnight because the structure was considered unsafe, as the cars were tilted at a 30-degree angle.
