TORONTO – York Regional Police have released a photograph of a Toronto man facing 44 charges related to a human trafficking investigation.
Charges laid against Rory Thomas Mitchell, 29, of Toronto include human trafficking, sexual assault, forcible confinement, firearms offences and drug trafficking offences.
Police say the investigation began last November after a female victim came forward seeking help to get out of the sex trade.

Mitchell, a suspected pimp, was subsequently arrested on Dec. 14, 2014 and charged with a number of offences related to human trafficking.
Additional information following his arrest resulted in further charges.
Police are asking anyone, especially vulnerable young women and victims who may know the suspect, to come forward.
Mitchell is scheduled to appear in a Newmarket court on March 11.
