SASKATOON – A would-be burglar found out that hiding in an attic was not enough to keep him away from the long arm – or nose – of the law. A canine unit sniffed out the thief during a break and enter in Saskatoon on Monday.

Police were called to the 100-block of Roy Crescent in the Evergreen neighbourhood around 10:30 a.m. where a witness spotted a man entering a home through a window.
They believed the burglar was still inside and brought in a canine officer, who was able to locate the suspect hiding in the attic.

The 26-year-old man is facing a charge of break and enter and two breach of undertaking charges. His name has not been released.
