CALGARY – A new poll says Alberta’s Progressive Conservatives and Wildrose might be neck and neck if an election is held this spring.
“Time will tell if this reaction to the new tax measures will have a lasting effect on public opinion or if it is just a temporary effect,” says Mainstreet Technologies President Quito Maggi.
“The reaction to this budget, especially the unpopularity of the health care tax, has evaporated the lead enjoyed by the PC party last December to a neck and neck race with the Wildrose.”

The survey also shows support for Rachel Notley’s NDP has reached 35 per cent in the capital city.

“The NDP have taken a commanding lead in the Edmonton area, and are likely to make big gains if these numbers hold.”
The poll from the national public research firm surveyed 3,067 Albertans, and was released on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
According to Mainstreet Technologies the poll carries an overall margin of error of +/- 1.8%, 19/20.
