KELOWNA – It’s a popular recreational trail but the Trans-Canada Trail and Kettle Valley Rail Trail, between Princeton and Coalmont, has been closed until
further notice.
The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources says a significant rockfall last week has closed the trail about 10 kilometres west of Princeton (at
the 125-kilometre mark of the KVR). The trail is impassable and unsafe for recreational use.

Recreation Sites and Trails B.C. is assessing the area’s stability. It’s also working with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and the VermillionTrails Society to repair and re-open the trail.
Repairs are scheduled to take place in the summer. Signs are being installed in the area to warn users of the closure.
