HALIFAX – A Nova Scotia man is facing charges after RCMP stopped him twice for impaired driving in a two-hour span.
Officers first stopped the 21-year-old Heatherton man on Highway 245 in North Grant around noon on Wednesday. He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and brought to the Antigonish RCMP detachment. He was charged with impaired driving by drug and released.

Less than two hours later, RCMP said they saw the same man driving on Highway 104 in Heatherton, and arrested him again. He was charged a second time with impaired driving by drug and his vehicle was impounded.
He was released on conditions and will appear in court on Aug. 26.
