Four wanted in northern Saskatchewan homicide arrested

PELICAN NARROWS, Sask. – Four people wanted on second-murder warrants in the death of a northern Saskatchewan teen have been arrested. Mounties say the two men and two youth were all in custody as of Wednesday.

Hilliard Sewap Jr., 17, was declared dead following a disturbance Saturday at Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation residence.

At the time, police said his death was suspicious and on Tuesday stated it was a homicide.

Robbie Lambert Creed Custer, 20, has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 12.

Brandon Lee Matt McCallum, 18, is also being held until his next court appearance on June 9.

Two youths, who cannot be named, have also been remanded until their next court appearance, one on May 8 and the other on May 15.

All four appearances will be at Prince Albert province court.

Marcus Sewap, 19, Cody Drake Custer, 22, and Trevor Charles, 28, were arrested earlier this week and charged with second-degree murder.
