Air Canada to begin tagging carry-on luggage at Pearson airport

WATCH: Air Canada announced it will screen carry-on luggage sizes at check-in. The new measures will be rolled out countrywide by next month – in time for the summer travel season. Mike Drolet reports.

TORONTO – Air Canada has announced it will soon start tagging all carry-on cabin luggage to meet size standards.

The new policy will roll out at Air Canada terminals at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport next Monday and other airports across the country next month.

The tagging process involved staff being stationed at the gate to make sure carry-ons meets the size and dimension rules.
