WINNIPEG — Police officers, fire crews, paramedics, and the bomb unit are searching for explosives at a law firm on Stradbrook Avenue Sunday night.
Southbound River Avenue at Donald street is blocked by police tape, as is Stradbrook Avenue to Scott Street.
Sunday afternoon, a call came in to police from someone inside the Orle Bargen Davidson law firm on Stradbrook after reports of a threat to the building.

Around 8:00 p.m, members of the Winnipeg police bomb squad were called in to investigate a potential threat.

At 9:40 p.m an airhorn sounded and a blast occurred inside the building.
This is the second law firm in three days that has been the scene of a bomb scare. On Friday, 38-year-old Maria Mitousis, a lawyer practicing at 252 River Avenue opened a package which exploded.

Winnipeg Police have a 49-year-old man in custody in connection with Friday’s explosion.
Just before 10 p.m, a bomb squad member was seen carrying out a package from 280 Stradbrook Avenue. Minutes later a bomb disposal robot also left the building.
The MIRV and fire left the scene a short time later.
The area remained blocked off at 10 p.m Sunday night.
