SASKATOON – Two teens have been charged with possession of stolen property. The two 16-year-olds were caught after being spotted running from a stolen vehicle Sunday morning.
A Saskatoon police canine officer spotted the vehicle around 4 a.m. in the 200-block of Whitney Avenue North. It had been reported stolen earlier in the day.

The officer spotted two people running from the vehicle after it had been parked.

Other officers in the area saw two youth matching the suspect’s description in the 200-block of Avenue Y North and stopped them.
Police say the canine unit successfully completed a track from the stolen vehicle to the teens.
