Two teens, woman facing stolen vehicle charges in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Three people are facing charges after Saskatoon police say they caught them in stolen vehicles. The arrests happened Tuesday morning in unrelated cases.

In the first case, a patrol officer spotted a stolen vehicle in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W around 2:45 a.m.

Police then made a high-risk stop in the alley between Avenues P and Q North at 23rd Street.

Two females, 17 and 20, were arrested. Both have been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The 17-year-old is also charged with breach of probation.

Then around 5:25 a.m., police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle at 21st Street and Avenue N South. The driver took off and was last seen at Appleby Drive and Avenue W South.

The vehicle was found abandoned a few minutes later in the 400-block of Avenue T South. A canine track led to a residence in the 400-block of Avenue U South where police arrested a 15-year-old.

He is now facing charges of possession of stolen property under $5,000, evading police and dangerous driving.
