BIGGAR, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating a fatal crash involving an off-road All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that happened Saturday. It occurred just south of Highway 14 in the Biggar area at 7:55 p.m.

Three males, aged 17 to 20, were riding in an off-road side-by-side vehicle when police believe it rolled. One male was ejected.

The 20-year-old driver, who remained in ATV, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was from the Biggar district, according to RCMP.

Investigators say none of the riders were wearing helmets and believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The other two riders were taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. One has been discharged while the other is in stable condition but being held for continued observation.

The traffic analyst was called in to assist with the investigation.
