WINNIPEG – Another attempt will be made next month to create what is being touted as the largest credit union in Manitoba and the sixth largest in Canada.
Members of the Assiniboine and Access credit unions will cast ballots in a second vote on whether the financial institutions should merge.
The first attempt on April 22 saw Assiniboine members vote 95 per cent in favour, but the vote by Access members fell just short of the 66.7 per cent margin needed to pass the resolution.
