WARMAN, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP were called to a pedestrian collision on Friday at the Borden Bridge. At 9:55 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Highway 16.
RCMP say a 15-year-old girl was walking on the travelled portion of the highway while attempting to flag down a passing vehicle. She was then struck by an SUV travelling at highway speeds.

CPR was performed by first responders until MD Ambulance arrived, however the teenager died on scene. The victim’s name has not been released.

Investigators say alcohol was not a factor for the driver of the SUV. Warman RCMP continue to investigate along with the office of the chief coroner.
Westbound highway traffic is no longer restricted.
