WINNIPEG – Guido Amsel spent three days in court awaiting a bail hearing decision, and Wednesday, the man accused of sending letter bombs to his ex wife and former lawyer is expected to learn if he’ll remain in jail.
Amsel faces a number of charges including attempted murder after police believe he sent bombs to his ex-wife, her divorce attorney Maria Mitousis and his former divorce lawyer back in July. He’s pleaded not guilty.

Amsel has been in court three times already for the bail hearing, hoping to get out of jail before his trial starts.
The judge still wasn’t prepared to decide if Amsel should be released on bail. A decision on the hearing is expected to be made Wednesday afternoon around 1 p.m.
