Man dies of injuries after rollover near Uxbridge that also killed father

TORONTO – A 23-year-old man has died of his injuries in hospital following a rollover crash near Uxbridge on Sunday night that also claimed the life of the victim’s 53-year-old father.

Durham Regional Police said the son was critically injured after the vehicle he was in lost control on Regional Road 8, east of Lakeridge Road around 11:45 p.m. and entered into a ditch.

Both men were ejected from the vehicle and the victim’s father was pronounced dead at the scene.

The son was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police have identified the victims as Brandon Legault and his father David Legault of Uxbridge.

The crash is still under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
