EDMONTON — Two men were ejected from their vehicle and one of them died in the single-vehicle crash in southwest Edmonton on Wednesday night.
Police believe a Chevrolet Suburban was travelling south on Terwillegar Drive, when it lost control just south of Rabbit Hill Road shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Two men were thrown from the vehicle as it rolled. The 29-year-old driver was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, where he died a short while later. The passenger was taken to hospital with several injuries, where he remains in stable condition.
The mangled vehicle could be seen in the grassy median south of the intersection at Rabbit Hill Road. The vehicle was missing its hood, roof and windows.

Terwillegar Drive was shut down between 23rd Avenue and Rabbit Hill Road.
Investigators believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
Police haven’t released the identity of the victim.
