HALIFAX – Police deployed the K-9 Unit to take an 18-year-old into custody after allegedly carrying what appeared to a be a firearm outside the QEII hospital Sunday afternoon.
Halifax Regional Police were called at 4 p.m. and saw the man on or close to Bell Road.

In a press release, police said they believe the man had a replica firearm. Police said the K-9 Unit made the arrest on Bell Road.
There were no reported injuries.
