Borys Wrzesnewskyj has reclaimed the riding of Etobicoke Centre for the Liberals.
With the solid victory, Wrzesnewskyj redeems himself from a defeat to his Conservative rival Ted Opitz four years ago.
This was among the most hotly contested ridings in Ontario, a longtime Liberal stronghold where the Conservatives eked out a 26-vote win in 2011. Ousted Liberal Wrzesnewskyj launched a legal battle over the razor-thin result, and it went all the way to the Supreme Court, which upheld the result.

The riding has a history of electing members for multiple terms. Progressive Conservative Michael Wilson held this seat from 1979 until he left politics in 1993. The Liberals then held the seat through five elections, first under Allan Rock, then Wrzesnewskyj, who was first elected in 2004.
