CALGARY – A two-year-old girl in Calgary has been seriously injured after falling out a fifth-floor window.
Police say the girl was in her bedroom Sunday morning in an apartment.
The window was open and they say she was leaning on the screen.

The screen gave way and the girl fell to the ground below.
Police say she was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

They say her condition was later upgraded to serious but stable.
Investigators say it was an accident and that no charges are planned.
Police say their victim’s assistance unit is helping the girl’s parents.
