WINNIPEG — Nearly 300,000 Canadians are affected by Type 1 diabetes. An upcoming stationary bike-a-thon is hoping to to help stop the life threatening disease, one pedal at a time.

The JDRF Ride for Diabetes Research kicks off at the YMCA in downtown Winnipeg on November 4th. The goal is to raise $150,000 for diabetes research.
Teams will go on a stationary bike and try and pedal as fast they can to raise money.
