Man slams car into building in Saint-Hubert

LONGUEUIL – A motorist is facing impaired driving charges after he crashed his vehicle into a building early Sunday morning in Saint-Hubert.

Longueuil police received a 911 call at 3:25 a.m., about a car slamming into a Boni-Soir convenience store on Grand-Allée Boulevard near Holmes Street.

When police arrived, the driver, in his 20s, had already fled on foot.

Officers quickly tracked him down not far from the crash site.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Damage to the building was minimal.
