REGINA- A new home dedicated for people with intellectual disabilities received a special grand opening Thursday.
The home is a partnership between the Government of Saskatchewan who provided $475,000 towards the project and Chip and Dale Homes Inc.
It took 18 months to design and build and has been equipped to house four residents with intellectual disabilities.

This is Chip and Dale’s 14th home, and the organization said each one is unique.
“We have to look at the individuals that they’re serving and we want to make sure that the house is designed for their unique disabilities as well as their challenges because everyone has different challenges. So, we want to make the house as safe and as comfortable as possible,” explained Kathy Fuchs, the program coordinator at Chip and Dales.
