WHITBY, Ont. – All three provincial political parties now have candidates for a yet-to-be-called byelection in Whitby-Oshawa.
The seat has been vacant since Christine Elliott resigned in August, months after losing the race for Progressive Conservative leader to Patrick Brown.

Niki Lundquist, a labour lawyer, was nominated as the NDP candidate Monday night.
The Progressive Conservatives nominated regional councillor Lorne Coe as their candidate.

Elizabeth Roy, a health-care professional who has also been a school board trustee, was nominated as the Liberal candidate.
Premier Kathleen Wynne has not set a date for the byelection.
