3 seriously injured in trio of GTA stabbings

TORONTO – Three people sustained serious injuries after a trio of stabbings in the GTA early Saturday morning.

In the first incident, a man was stabbed in the back four times at a McDonald’s near Eglinton Avenue East and McCowan Road around 2:30 a.m. The victim was transported to hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

Approximately an hour later, police responded to a stabbing at another McDonald’s near the Meadowvale Town Centre .

The victim, a man in his late 20s, was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

In another incident, a man in his 30s was stabbed in the chest near Middlefield Road and Denison Street in Markham.

Police have not made any arrests or released descriptions of suspects at this time.

Nonetheless, anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
