Memorial created for child killed in Chestermere crash

A small balloon memorial has been set up along Highway 1 to remember a young boy killed Tuesday afternoon.

Four others were seriously hurt in the crash, including two children, in the crash at the intersection of Highway 1 and Paradise Road.

A young girl thrown from the vehicle was airlifted to the children’s hospital.

She is expected to recover.

A third child was rushed to hospital by ground ambulance and remains in critical condition.

The children range in age from 5 to 8.

Two women in the car were also injured.
