SASKATOON – Police say youth discussing the tragedy in La Loche at a school in Saskatoon alarmed a student on Monday. Officers were called to Westmount Community School in regards to reported threats to cause harm.
Just after 1:30 p.m. CT, four youth were detained for questioning.

Further investigation found that the complainant overheard a student discussion, was alarmed and notified police. Saskatoon police believe the conversation held no direct threat to public safety.
Manager of communications and marketing with the Saskatoon Public Schools division, Veronica Baker, says emergency procedures were not required at the elementary school and therefore not initiated.
