EDMONTON- The remains of a man were discovered at the scene of an early morning fire about an hour west of Edmonton Tuesday.
The Lac Ste. Anne County fire chief told Global News 16 firefighters were called to a fully-involved blaze at a home in Hoffman Beach at around 2:45 a.m.
He said the property was difficult to access, making it challenging for crews to put out.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control at around 5:45 a.m. and the human remains were later discovered at around 8 a.m.
The cause of both the fire and the death are not yet known.
Hoffman Beach is a community on Lake Isle.
