SASKATOON – A suspicious package in a downtown neighbourhood Thursday afternoon turned out to be nothing that risked public safety. Police received a call from someone at a business who said the package was outside a building in the 300-block of 4th Avenue North.

The Saskatoon Police Service Explosives Disposal Unit attended after police were called around 1:15 p.m. CT.
Officers were on scene for about three hours with parts of 4th Avenue and 24th Street blocked off.

Police lifted traffic restrictions once they determined the package wasn’t putting anyone in danger.
