There was a heavy police presence Tuesday morning at a farm in Leduc County, between Nisku and Beaumont, where a fire occurred on Monday.

Several RCMP vehicles, along with unmarked vans, were parked at the property along Highway 625. Police were seen searching the property and a ditch along the highway.

RCMP and Leduc County firefighters were called to an abandoned house 6:30 a.m. Monday.

The fire was put out, but officers said it is believed to be suspicious. Police said no one was injured and there weren’t any people inside the home.
