Prince Albert teen facing charges after bear spray used in school

A 15-year-old boy is facing charges of robbery and assault with a weapon in Prince Albert, Sask. At 12:20 p.m. CT on Wednesday, police were called to the 600-block of 28th Street East for a complaint of bear spray having been deployed inside a school.

Students were quickly evacuated and classes were cancelled for the rest of the day.

One person was treated at Victoria Hospital for bear spray contamination.

Police also say a robbery took place before the incident at the school.

The teenager is expected to make his first court appearance in Prince Albert provincial court on March 2.
