Saskatoon police warn public following theft of methadone

Saskatoon police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect and retrieving a stolen bottle of concentrated methadone. File / Global News

SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Police Service have issued a public advisory following a theft of concentrated methadone Sunday. At around 12:48 p.m. CT, an unknown suspect stole a one-litre bottle of the drug from a local business.

It contained enough methadone to cause serious injury or death if consumed, according to officials. It’s described as a brown bottle with a black lid.

Police are asking for the help in identifying the suspect and retrieving the methadone before anyone is injured.
