Fire department rescues men stranded at Harvie Passage

The Calgary Fire Department is highlighting the risk of rafting and kayaking on Calgary rivers, after two men became stranded on rocks at the Harvie Passage.

Their inflatable raft became struck in the area along the Bow River, around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Firefighters used a rescue boat to save the stranded men, both of whom were wearing lifejackets.

Neither was injured.
