A Saskatchewan man has been sentenced to two years in jail for manslaughter after an incident in December 2014. Wilfred Brent Sewap, 38, was taken to hospital after a physical altercation, where he was pronounced dead the following day.

Blaine Charles, who was known to Sewap, was initially charged with second-degree murder but the charge was reduced to manslaughter.

With credit for time already served in jail, Charles has just over two months left to serve for his sentence.
Both men were from Pelican Narrows.
